OUR TEAM
Courtney Levy Daniels, LMHC, CBTP®
Hi, I’m Courtney (she/her)! I have spent my career as a therapist working with those struggling to make peace in their relationship with their body and food. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked at Columbus Park, an eating disorder treatment center in Manhattan. I also served as a Primary Coach at Eating Disorder Recovery Specialists (EDRS), where I provided meal support and skills coaching to those in recovery.
I am a Certified Body Trust ® Provider and practice from a trauma-informed, social justice oriented, Health at Every Size (HAES)® framework. I am fat-positive, anti-diet, anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming and center lived experience. As a white, queer, straight-sized, financially secure, Jewish, cisgender woman, I recognize my many privileges and am constantly seeking to examine how they show up, both personally and professionally.
My passion for this work stems from my own experience recovering from an eating disorder, and the harm caused by diet culture. I recognize that healing your relationship with food and your body in a world that is constantly normalizing disordered behaviors, and promoting thinness, is extremely challenging, especially if you live in a marginalized body. I am not here to help you conform to these societal standards, but rather, find freedom and liberation from its constraints.
My style is warm, compassionate and genuine. I don’t believe in cold, hierarchical therapeutic spaces — I believe in collaboration, transparency and authenticity. I bring my full humanity to each relationship.
I feel so lucky to do this work and to have the privilege to witness the experiences and resilient stories of the client’s I get to work alongside. I look forward to getting to know you!

Jordan Spinelli, LMHC
Hi, I’m Jordan (she/her)! My career started and continues as a primary therapist at the Renfrew Center of New York City working with individuals in recovery from eating disorders, trauma and other co-occurring mental health conditions. I joined the Body Liberation Collective because I deeply believe in their values and desire longer-term, growth-fostering relationships with clients to help them heal their relationships with food and their bodies.
I operate from a trauma informed, social justice, and Health at Every Size (HAES)® lens. I feel very strongly that part of the work in therapy is not about “fixing,” but rather is about removing what is the way of you accessing your best self, which most often includes challenging and exploring the systematic issues that impact individuals. In order to do this work with you, I will forever be learning and growing to acknowledge my own privileges and ways I am a part of the system.
My style is genuine, relational and compassionate. I believe that laughter and joy is imperative in a therapeutic relationship. I will never pretend to be perfect or think that I am the expert in you.
I know firsthand that it takes immense bravery and vulnerability to start the journey towards healing in therapy. I want to help you develop a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship where you are able to find your own recovery and empowerment. It is a true honor to walk alongside clients to see them slowly returning to their own lives. I so look forward to going on that journey with you!

Ruthie Dabah, LCSW
Hi, I’m Ruthie (she/her)! I received my MSW at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. My career started as a clinical social worker at The Jewish Board working with individuals facing a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, dissociative identity disorder, attachment trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, and survivors of physical and sexual abuse. During my time at The Jewish Board, I had the privilege of facilitating group therapy for teens struggling with socialization and relationship-building.
My passion for this work started as I began to work with client’s struggling with eating disorders. As I continued to learn and increase my knowledge on eating disorders, I began to recognize how many people around me were affected how it was impacting all aspects of their life. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, TF-CBT, and CBT-E. Additionally, I have completed a 20-hour experiential intro course in Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I create a compassionate and supportive environment where you can feel truly heard and understood. My approach is empathetic and collaborative, allowing us to work together at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll explore what’s not working in your life, identify the changes you want to make and develop a plan to make those changes a reality. I look forward to working together!
